Coach Belichick prepares his team for playoff war

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WHDH) -- The Patriots are ready to rumble with the Houston Texans on Sunday and Coach Bill Belichick is preparing his team for war.

In a press conference Thursday, Belichick said, ?You don?t win a war by digging a fox hole and sitting in it. You need to attack.?

The Patriots dominated the Texans by 28 points a month ago, but Belichick believes his team needs to be prepared. Just like any branch in the military, you can anticipate success, but you have to adjust to your surroundings.

?When you talk to the Navy SEALS and those guys about when they go on a mission, they talk about, alright so we get there and we practiced going over a 6-foot wall and the wall is 30 feet high, well, that?s the way it is in the NFL. You practice for- you think you?re going to swim across a 200-yard lake and the lake is 800 yards and you gotta get across it. Well, you get in an NFL game and you think you?re gonna get this and you get that,? said Belichick.

Coach Belichick has been in 44 playoff games in his career and he admits when it comes to Sunday, he does get butterflies in his stomach. But at kickoff, the butterflies go away.
